Course data

Change this course with an AI you already use

Everything on this site — every class, lesson and date — comes from one text file. You don't need to understand it. You just need to be able to copy it and paste it somewhere.

Right now your file holds 2 classes, 2 units, 2 written lessons, 16 still empty.

  1. Press Copy course file above. The whole thing is now on your clipboard.
  2. Open whichever AI chat you already use. Paste the file in, then paste or attach your own lesson materials underneath it — a worksheet, a unit plan, your notes, whatever you have.
  3. Ask for what you want, and ask for the whole file back. That last part matters: a snippet won't work, the complete file will.

Three that work well. Copy one and change the details:

  • "Here is my course file, and below it my handout for next week. Add it as a new lesson in exactly the same format as the existing ones, and give me back the complete file."
  • "In this course file, 16 lessons have no content yet. Here are my notes for them. Fill them in, matching the style of the lessons that are already written, and return the whole file."
  • "Check this course file for anything inconsistent or missing — times that don't add up, lessons missing objectives — and tell me what you'd change before you change it."

Getting it back into this dashboard. The AI hands you a new version of the file. Three steps turn it back into these pages:

  1. Copy the file the AI gave you, and save it over data/course.json in the project folder, replacing what's there. (Keep a copy of the old one first — the Download button above gives you that.)
  2. Open a terminal in the project folder. The very first time only, run npm install and wait for it to finish.
  3. Run node build.js. That rewrites this Dashboard, the Calendar and every lesson page from your new file. Reload the page to see it.

If step 3 prints an error instead, it names the lesson it didn't like. Paste that message back to the AI along with the file and ask it to fix it — that loop usually closes in one go.

If you're reading this from the single downloaded file rather than the project folder, there's nothing here to rebuild — you'd need the project itself to turn an edited file back into pages.

One caution. Treat this file like a public webpage before you share it: no real gradebook or class-platform links, no real student names.
